Our Approach

We want you to be confident purchasing from LegacyLift. If something isn't right, we'll make it right. This policy covers our self-service migration tokens and our done-for-you migration service.

1. Self-Service Tokens

LegacyLift self-service tokens are digital products that unlock file migrations in our desktop application. Each token provides a set number of file credits that are consumed when you process a file.

Unused Tokens

If you have not used any file credits from your token, you may request a full refund within 30 days of purchase. No questions asked.

Used Tokens

Once you have consumed any file credits from a token, that token is no longer eligible for a refund. Because each credit is consumed instantly during migration and delivers a converted file, we cannot reverse the service once it has been performed.

Expired Tokens

Tokens are valid for 365 days from the date of purchase. Expired, unused tokens are not eligible for a refund. If your token is approaching expiration and you need more time, contact us and we'll work something out.

2. Done-For-You Migration Service

Our done-for-you service is a managed migration where we handle the conversion for you. Pricing varies depending on file complexity and volume — see our pricing page for details.

Migration Doesn't Meet Specs

If the migrated files we deliver do not meet the specifications agreed upon at the start of the project, we will either re-do the migration at no additional cost or issue a full refund. Contact us within 14 days of delivery to report issues.

Migration Fails

If we determine that your files cannot be successfully migrated, you will receive a full refund. We will explain what we found and, where possible, recommend alternative approaches.

Cancellation Before Delivery

If you cancel a done-for-you project before we have delivered the migrated files, you will receive a full refund minus any work already completed. If work has not yet begun, you receive a full refund.

3. Technical Issues

If the LegacyLift desktop application fails to run on a supported system (Windows 10 version 1809 or later, or Windows 11), contact us first. We will troubleshoot the issue with you. If we are unable to resolve it, we will issue a full refund regardless of whether credits have been consumed.

4. Bulk and IT Team Purchases

For bulk token packs (10-file, 50-file, or custom), the same rules apply: unused packs get a full refund within 30 days, and partially used packs are not refundable. For custom enterprise agreements, refund terms will be specified in your service agreement.

5. How to Request a Refund

Email support@legacy-lyft.com with:

  • The email address used at purchase
  • Your order number or token filename
  • A brief description of why you're requesting a refund

We aim to respond within one business day. Approved refunds are processed back to the original payment method within 5-10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.

6. Chargebacks

We ask that you contact us before initiating a chargeback with your bank. We are committed to resolving issues quickly and fairly, and a chargeback can take weeks to process. If you contact us directly, we can typically resolve your concern much faster.
